Your Nature (also sold at Wearth London) is a brand that makes stick deodorants, packaged in cardboard, rather than plastic. These handcrafted deodorants are also made with natural ingredients, and scented with essential oils over artificial fragrances.
Avoid aromatherapy essential oils for pregnancy/nursing (and medical conditions like epilepsy and asthma. Avoid rosemary & citrus oils for high blood pressure. Avoid shea butter for latex allergies.
Natural deodorants are better than antiperspirants, which use aluminium to literally block your sweat glands, which is not good, as releasing sweat is the way that our bodies release unwanted toxins. Sweat has no odour, any smell is due to bacteria, so natural deodorants work by tackling the bacteria, but still allow your body to sweat. Just like natural shampoos, give them a few weeks for your body to adjust, then you’ll likely find you sweat less.
To use, just push up the bottom cardboard stick with your thumb (the lid has extra room, so it won’t push back down). Then place the deodorant on your underarm for a couple of seconds, to allow the deodorant to warm up, then swipe a few times, and leave to dry for a minute or so, before dressing. One application should last you all day (but it’s safe to reapply if needed). One cardboard stick should last you around 12 weeks. Store in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. If it gets too hot, just pop it in the fridge for an hour or two. The paper application is designed to be robust enough for travel or the gym.
The company was started by a father-and-son who wanted to create a sustainable deodorant, made with natural ethical ingredients. Everything is made in England’s greenest city, using vegan ingredients and sustainable packaging. The deodorants are made with organic coconut oil, mango and shea butter, vitamin E oil, sodium bicarbonate, candelilla wax (to dry quickly) and organic arrowroot (that naturally soaks up sweat and bacteria, without staining your underarms or clothes). Choose from:
- Orange Patchouli
- Lemon May Change
- Sandalwood Bergamot
- Lemongrass Tea Tree

- Cedarwood Grapefruit (check for medications)
