Bottled water sold in shops is not tested nearly the same as tap water, and massively overpriced. You’re paying for plastic, shipping of water (often from overseas) and marketing. Once discarded, plastic bottles break down into microplastics, which drop down storm drains and go into the sea, where they are accidentally ingested by marine creatures. Don’t fill hot liquids to top to avoid scalding, and avoid wide-mouth bottles with hot drinks for children. Don’t place metal bottles in the microwave.
Responsibly-made in China, allow steam to escape before closing the lid. Hand-wash only. Don’t fill hot liquids to top to avoid scalding, and avoid wide-mouth bottles with hot drinks for children. Don’t place metal bottles in the microwave.
Avoid caffeine for pregnancy/nursing and affected medical conditions (NHS says 1 cup of weak coffee or 2 cups of weak tea is fine, but know coffee shop drinks tend to be higher in caffeine). It’s best to just bin the grounds, as caffeine may harm garden compost bin creatures.
The water bottle features a leakproof lid and carry loop, and the double-walled insulated cup features a sculpted cup lid to keep drinks hot for a few hours. The outer sleeve (made from powder-coated stainless steel has a twist-on design to protect the cup and lid inside.
This ingenious invention saves you having to take two cups/bottles, as it twists together to become one product. On average, we’re supposed to drink around 2 x this bottle each day of water, so obviously a little more if you drink more coffee (or wine!) The Cupple is sold in a wide range of beautiful colours, and designed to last years, then is easily recycled.
Conventional coffee cups may be made from cardboard, but the lining tends to be plastic (so it doesn’t leak) and so if littered, the cups break down into microplastics and harm wildlife (some get their heads stuck, attracted by sweet liquids) or end up in our seas – same with disposable water bottles.
