One Wise Sheep is a creative and unique retelling of the Christmas story, from the perspective of one wise sheep! Which also has an undercurrent message to young readers on being nicer to each other, listening to each other and forgiving quarrels.
Tonight, the sheep can’t sleep. The pasture is floodlit by a strange new star, and their shepherds have disappeared. Rumour has it that they have gone to visit a child, who has been born in a stable. So the sheep set off to find their shepherds. They would like to see this child too, and they have heard they’ll be a party!
During this extraordinary night in Bethlehem, the quarrelsome sheep gradually become a flock that pulls together. This amusing tale through the eyes of the sheep, reinforces the season’s theme of goodwill to all.
