A Warm Welcome

At this pretty site, discover fabulous finds and creative inspiration, to help restore our green and pleasant land. Everything is plant-based, zero-waste, fairly-made and (mostly) local.
The site is presently undergoing a transition into a beautiful creative resource directory (ideas, brands, charities, books, gifts, recipes) rather than a ‘blog’. So please excuse the mess as posts are merged, simplified or even deleted, to make the site more helpful, interesting and less overwhelming to read – and keep updated!
Without inspiration, we’re not creating anything new. We’re just consuming and reproducing what already exists. The walk in nature isn’t separate from your work. It’s the very thing that makes your work worth doing and gives it its life force.
When we create from our highest place, we bring something into the world that hasn’t existed before, and bring more abundance and meaning into the world. Everything else is just spinning wheels. Nancy Perry
Big changes start with small individual choices. And here is where you’ll find them. You’ll also find interesting posts on everything from volunteering to fair politics and alternative media.
Forget obsession with celebrities and Monarchy. Let’s reserve our wonder for hearing the buzz of a bumblebee pollinating a flower. Or watching a murmuration of starlings overhead.
Sometimes I come across a tree which seems like Buddha or Jesus: loving, compassionate, still, unambitious, enlightened, in eternal meditation. Giving pleasure to a pilgrim, shade to a cow, berries to a bird, beauty to its surroundings, health to its neighbours, leaves for the soil.
Asking nothing in return, in total harmony with the wind and the rain. How much can I learn from a tree? The tree is my church, the tree is my temple, the tree is my mantra, the tree is my poem and my prayer. Satish Kumar
