Illustrated and Inspirational Biblical Stories

Holy Bible Hannah Dunnet

The Bible remains one of the most fascinating reads on the planet. And it’s important to remember that some of the verses are parables, so don’t be too concerned at some of the more unsettling passages.

But it has to be said: For those wishing people would open the Good Book to be inspired for time with the Lord, many book publishers don’t make it easy for themselves!

Absolutely tiny illegible print, with no creative inspiration like beautiful art. Nor beginner guides to make it easy for people to learn and read, if new to the stories. Some Bibles are even made with leather covers, something St Francis of Assisi (the patron saint of animal welfare) no doubt would be upset about.

This beautiful Bible is illustrated by Hannah Dunnett, a Christian artist whose husband Ben Dunnett creates beautiful piano music – what a creative couple!

With extra-wide margins and 32 pages of Hannah’s beautiful illustrations to inspire, this NIV Bible is perfect for those who love to reflect and journal.

The double-column setting and blank margins allow plenty of room beside Scriptures for notes and drawings, bringing a new depth and imagination to your quiet time with God.

A beautiful gift for creative worship, the endpapers feature original art by Hannah, inspired by the Garden of Eden (Genesis) and Revelation’s ‘Heavenly City’.

Includes two ribbon markets and an elastic strap closure. Also includes shortcuts to key stories, events and people of the Bible, lists of references, and a reading plan.

This edition uses British spelling, punctuation and grammar, with royalties used to help translate and distributes Bibles worldwide.

Illustrated Reflections on Psalm 23

peace from Psalm 23

Most of us are aware of Psalm 23:

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

But what does it actually all mean? Peace from Psalm 23 is a recently re-publishing of a vintage book by an American pastor, who also was a passionate nature artist, whose faith carefully included protecting the natural world and all its creatures.

Step into the stillness of a northern Michigan forest, to hear the whisper of wind through the pines, the hush of a deer at dawn, and the soft splash of trout in a steam. In this beautifully illustrated collection of nature parables (all structured around each phrase of the beloved Shepherd’s Psalm), the author invites you into a world where nature and spirit combine –  and where healing and hope take root.

This timeless collection will help you:

  • Be encouraged, uplifted and grounded by nature’s enduring lessons
  • Reconnect with your sense of purpose and direction
  • Find strength to face anxiety and uncertainty
  • Receive quiet comfort in times of grief and hardship

Each story is paired with Harold’s original art, making this a meaningful gift for anyone in need of a gentle word of hope.

Harold E Kohn was born in 198 and died age just 57, after enduring a life of many burdens, but never losing his faith or inspiration, to use his art to help God’s natural kingdom. A writer, artist, poet and pastor, his aim was  always to help those ‘grasped by tired minds’.

Seeing God as a kind and compassionate Creator, his own faith helped him through a rare brain condition, cancer, many brain surgeries, chronic hives and eventual blindness. And it was acute awareness of how his own life would be cut short, that he wanted to share the beauty of nature, people and the Creator.

The Book of Love (a better way to read the Bible)

the book of love

The Book of Love introduces a ‘better way to read the Bible’. If you’ve ever been put off by stories of violence, animal sacrifice and ‘hell and damnation’, this is the book to help you see beyond certain parables, to discover the bold compassionate meaning of the Good Book.

Drawing from personal experience, theological insight and psychological depths, the author challenges the fear-based approach to Scripture, offering an alternative one through the lens of love – God’s love for us, and His call to love one another.

The book journeys through his own faith journey, to a sweeping exploration of the Scriptures, the Gospels and writings of the early church. Along the way he addresses all the difficult questions that often come up.

The Bible is not a rulebook or weapon. But a story of Divine love that calls us to mercy, justice and grace. This book is both a critique of harmful religious interpretations, and a hopeful vision for a more loving, inclusive and transformative truth.

A Compassionate Storybook Bible for Children

the just love story Bible

The Just Love Story Bible is a beautifully illustrated Bible for children and families, focusing on the big  message that God loves us, and created us to love God and each other. And to do justice and to love kindness.

In this book, youngsters are invited to open their imaginations, take hold of their belovedness, and understand that all people (and animals) on earth deserve to be loved. And to have dignity, equality and justice.

This isn’t a book of answers. More importantly, the great questions of life, such as:

  • How did our world come to be?
  • What is the soul?
  • Why do people have so many ideas on God?
  • Why do terrible and unjust things happen?
  • What are the most loving ways to live with each other
  • Can we believe in a mysterious God we can’t see?
  • Can we still have doubts and disagreements?

Through retellings of thoughtfully selected Bible stories, this presents a way to hear how others have also had questions about God, and the answered they discovered. It includes 52 Bible stories (half from the Old and half from the New Testaments, along with bold striking illustrations, with scenes and Biblical characters in various shades of brown.
