It’s surprising why iced tea is not more popular here. It’s really popular in US states like Texas and the Deep South (all the waitresses say ‘can I offer you some sweet iced tea, y’all?!) We love tea in England, and it’s a nice refreshing beverage. It’s also cheap and healthier than coffee.
If the weather’s warming, forget artificially-sweetened sodas, and make this orange iced tea with lemongrass (Full of Plants). This hydrating recipes calls for peach tea bags (difficult to find in England, so just use other flavours (Hampstead makes rosehip, peppermint or lavender flavours). Avoid caffeine teas for pregnancy/nursing.
Thai Iced Tea (Minimalist Baker) is seriously a thing! The condensed milk and refined sugar however are replaced with coconut milk and maple syrup, for a vanilla-scented brew of the East.
