Alder & Green is a bit like Saville Row but this time it’s organic cotton and zero waste. Ideal for the man who likes to look sustainably smart, organic cotton is better for the planet and wildlife, and you can safely launder items in the machine, without releasing microplastics. Most socks always have a little elastane, so launder these in a microplastic catcher.
Founded by two men with a combined 40 years of experience in tailoring (they’re still young – that’s 20 years each!), everything is made to the finest detail, and sent in compostable packaging (made from potatoes) and a recycled swing tag.
Everything is also fairly made in state-of-the-art eco factories in Europe. This is the difference to most fast fashion, that is made by poorly-paid and poorly-treated workers in Asia.
You can choose from Slim Fit (more space) or extra Slim Fit (if you prefer something a bit more fitted) for the shirts. The brand is often modelled by modern ‘eco men’ like the founder of Social Supermarket, rugby stars and eco enterpreneurs.
