quenched iron frypan

Solidteknics Cookware is a tough cookware from Australia, built with seamless wrought iron, so there are no rivets or handle joints to break. They cook and season just like cast iron, but are half the weight and stronger, and also carry a multi-century warranty. The lightly-seasoned range needs a couple of rounds of home seasoning before cooking. The pre-seasoned Quenched range is able to cook immediately.

Before cooking, read up on food safety for people & pets (many foods including garlic and citrus are unsafe near animal friends).

The brand was founded by a mechanical engineer to help reduce the disposable synthetic-coated pans piling up on landfills. He spent 20 years developing these pans that are now used by home cooks and professional chefs around the world. The range includes:

A crepe pan for flipping pancakes. The frypans (including a smaller one for side dishes) are compatible for most hobs (use the correct size for induction hobs and warm on a lower temperature before turning to medium heat). Pre-seasoned in rice brand oil, these build up a natural non-stick surface that improves with use. The Quenched range is made by dunking a red-hot pan in chilled oil.

The baking sheets are made from one solid sheet of Australian iron, with no flaky synthetic coatings or buckling. This indestructible baking sheet will last many lifetimes. Again the Quenched range is fully pre-seasoned with rice bran oil, so you can skip oven seasoning and get cooking immediately. Natural seasoning means colours!
