Here’s a super-easy way to make some passive income. This is one of those stupidly-simple ideas, that if done en-masse across England, could create hundreds of thousands of pounds of extra income for people on low budgets, and less for the big mega-companies.
So first you simply download the app at JustPark. This lets people find parking spaces, rather than have to pay for council car parks (machines that never give change), stupidly-expensive hospital car parks (if there are other alternatives nearby). And not have to pay for multi-storey car parks.
The idea is simple. Most cars sit unused for most of the day. So if someone has a driveway or garage that is empty for most of the day (say if their own car is at the office free car park), that car park could be used for someone else to park there.
You can use this to park for trips to your favourite football match or music concert. Often people who have no interest in either live nearby, saving you a fortune on using big car parks.
This is a great idea for people going on holiday too. Often the price of airport car parks are more than the holiday itself. But if you have a drive or garage (say you don’t have a car yourself), that person can use the app to pay you instead. You get easy income, they get cheaper secure parking, and everyone wins.
This is also a wonderful idea for other people too. If you run a hotel (and have an empty car park out-of-season). Or you have a small office car park that lays empty all weekend (when staff are at home), then again you can earn a small fortune, simply from letting local people or visitors use your car parking space.
Even local councils (which always claim to be cash-strapped) can make use of the app. Large councils may well have hundreds of empty car parking spaces over weekends, when staff are not working.
Why not just use the app to rent these spaces out? That way, you could earn an absolute fortune (rather than money going to big multi-storey car parks). And that income could be used to invest in walkable communities and litter clean-ups. More dog poop bins and free social care.
