Lydy coffee cup lid

Lydy has created a reusable coffee cup lid (made from silicone and a bit of plastic).

Designed to fit most coffee cups, it would be ideal for Brummie Cup, a returnable cup that does not yet have a lid to fit). Suitable for paper, ceramic or glass coffee cups, it includes a silicone carry pouch.

Using this lid twice a day prevents 730 plastic lids from entering landfill. And only works out at around 5p per day, over a 3 year period.

Millions of disposable coffee cups are thrown away each day. The paper can’t be recycled due to plastic lining, which breaks into microplastics if the cups are littered. Sweet caramel liquids can tempt dogs and wildlife (harmed by caffeine or xylitol).

We like Sanctuary Coffee (profits help animals!) NHS says to avoid caffeine for pregnancy/nursing (chain store coffee has more caffeine).
