The Best Zero Waste Exfoliators

paper plane solid sugar scrub

These skin exfoliators are all made from natural ingredients in zero waste packaging. Avoid essential oils for pregnancy/nursing. Avoid shea butter for latex allergies. Don’t use exfoliating soaps on broken or tender skin. These exfoliators are free from dead sea salts (the sea is dying). For health issues, talk to your doctor before using Epsom salts.

Paper Plane Solid Sugar Scrub Bar is made in Rutland (England’s smallest county). It features lavender and ylang ylang for a floral hint.

Tabitha Eve exfoliating shower mitt

This exfoliating shower mitt is ideal to just use with soap. Handmade in England with ethically sourced cotton, this heavyweight shower glove works with your chosen soap. If you are looking for a natural exfoliator in the store, always look for ones that use natural ingredients made from ground nuts or fruits. Or if you want pure simplicity, just use an exfoliating mitt like this one, with standard vegan palm-oil free soap.

Buff body scrub

This sea salt body scrub is an ideal alternative to toxic plastic bath beads. Made with organic refined coconut oil and mineral-rich hand-harvested sea salt, it’s stored in British made glass jars with metal lids. Use as a body exfoliant, bath soak and rich moisturiser. Containing essential oils, choose from the following scents (avoid the Naked version as it contains rosewood from an unsustainable tree):

  1. Body (cypress, juniper, lavender, cedarwood)
  2. Nuit (bergamot, ginger, palma rosa, sandalwood)
  3. Be (mandarin, cardamom, ylang ylang, cedarwood)

The labels are biodegradable and compostable. To remove, just soak off with warm water and add to your compost bin. Each sale benefits the Marine Conservation Society and Surfers Against Sewage, to help protect our oceans from plastic pollution.

natural wake up call coffee scrub

Natural Wake Up Call Coffee Scrub is a natural exfoliator for the face and body. Start your day with a hit of caffeine. This scrub is packed with real Fair Trade coffee grounds, for natural and invigorating exfoliation.

rose clay exfoliating face polish

Rose Clay Exfoliating Face Polish is gentle and suitable for all skin types. It’s sold as a dry powder in a zero waste tin. Made in Scotland, it features organic rice and oat flour, clays, rose petals and rose absolute with rose geranium oil. The active ingredients gently cleanse the pores and exfoliate the face, to reveal fresh smooth skin. To use, just mix a little powder with water for a fresh scrub. The more water you add, the gentler the scrub. Also as Lime & Coconut Face Scrub.

awake organics juicy buff body scrub

Awake Organics Juicy Buff Body Scrub can be used twice weekly for body exfoliation (not on the face). It draws out impurities to promote healthy circulation, to help congested skin and help prevent ingrown hairs, razor bumps and skin pigmentation. Smells of sweet orange juice, and deeply nourishes dry rough and dehyrated skin. Use code  http://rwrd.io/llc6hqa (15% first order over £20, excludes shipping and taxes).

Natural Loofah Exfoliators

Lulu artisan exfoliating loofah sponge

Lulu Artisan Exfoliating Loofah Sponge is ideal to exfoliating and polish the skin, as an alternative to natural sponges, which are cut away with knives from living species, by divers. Natural loofah (luffa) is a fruit, related to cucumber that thrives in Mediterranean climates. This loose knit loofah is made from natural Egyptian loofah and can be used as a regular bathing sponge. Leave to dry after each use. You can use it also as a tray for soap or soid shampoo bars.

natural facial loofah pads

The Natural Facial Loofah Pads are good for everyday skin care or weekly deep exfoliation. They will revive tired skin and scrub away dead skin cells, and boost circulation. One pad can be used several times, just place in water to get softer, before use. Each pack includes 5 facial pads.

cotton face scrubbies

100% Cotton Face Scrubbies are sold in a set of six, for cleansing and removing makeup. Designed to replace cotton wool pads and balls, the scrubbies are hand-crocheted in a studio in Oxfordshire. There is a choice of bright colours, or muted earthy tones. Delivered in a letterbox-sized parcel.

Earthkind Loofah Face Exfoliators are dehydrated, just pop into clean water for a minute and wait to expand. Each round lasts for months, then can be composted at end of life (shake dry after each use). Perfect to exfoliate the face and body, use with water and a small amount of natural soap.

We are the first generations surrounded by evidence, that our attempt to separate ourselves from nature has been a grim failure.

I wonder if every animal is a spirit. If they are all spirits sent to you? And how you treat them, is what you are.
