Vektra is the world’s first thermal insulated electric kettle. Made from stainless steel, it has double-wall insulation. So you can boil your water, and it will stay hot for up to 4 hours, just like a thermos flask.
Use with organic tea or coffee. Avoid caffeine for pregnancy/nursing or affected medical conditions. Check herb tea labels before consuming. It’s best to bin tea leaves and coffee grounds, as caffeine may harm compost bin creatures.
The safety push level means there are no spills or burns. And the comfortable is easy to use (the only plastic used is on the trim and handle, to keep your hands cool). It’s also being CE-certified for safety.
Available in many sizes and colours, you can use this kettle for a cafe or office or restaurant or hotel (it’s too expensive for small kitchens, but will save a fortune on bills long-term for establishments that regularly boil water in the kettle). It’s suitable for people who are right-handed or left-handed. The portable serving carafe means it’s suitable to take to the table.
How Does This Kettle Work?
The kettle has two stainless steel walls, with a small valve where air is removed in the centre, to create a vacuum. This slows down the heat escaping. So if you boil the kettle at 8am in the morning (and then have two more cups of tea at 9.30am and 11am), you don’t have to keep boiling the kettle.
It’s also very cheap to run, using the same amount of energy as a light bulb. The kettle is also safer, as the anti-spill device and non-drip spout means that if it did knock over, only a small trickle of hot would come out. Which makes this kettle a great choice for busy kitchens or around children and pets.
If water in the kettle is boiled, expect the water to be at 80 degrees after 2 hours, the 68 degrees after 4 hours (as long as you don’t open the lid!)
People in England collectively brew over 100 cups of tea each year, causing an energy surge during TV ad breaks. Yet £70 million is wasted boiling too much water for too long.
UK law says that if you buy a new electrical appliance, the shop selling it must take back your old one for recycling.
How to Descale Your Kettle, Naturally
Just pop a descaler ball in the kettle. Or pour in cleaning vinegar to cover element, switch kettle on and leave overnight (tell others before you do this!)
