LaBante vegan apple leather sneakers (four colours)

LaBante apple leather sneakers are made from a vegan leather that uses up waste apples from the juicing industry in Italy. Featuring natural rubber soles with anti-slip grips, these flexible sneakers are good for your feet, and even feature recycled plastic bottle shoelaces.

Vegan sneakers are easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth (laundering is not recommended, but if you do, use a microfiber filter) to stop microplastics leaching from the machine).

As most good brands of sustainable vegan sneakers are sold online, get your feet measured in a shop, to save the hassle of returns (Europeans don’t offer half-sizes, so choose the larger size and wear thicker socks!)

Who made these sneakers?

These sneakers were made by LaBante, a luxury London fashion brand that makes all-vegan and sustainable bags and accessories.

It uses premium vegan leathers and linings made with recycled plastic bottles (so  far over 10 million have been recycled). It also partners with an organisation in Madagascar to plant 10 trees for each item sold (so far it has planted tens of thousands of trees abroad). Which in turns creates local jobs.

It also donates 10% of profits to help various charities, which include farm sanctuaries, a hospice for terminally ill patients and Saving Strays, which helps homeless and street dogs in Bosnia.
