These Samsung phone cases are made from wheat straw, which are drop-tested 26 times to ensure they are as strong as conventional plastic phone cases. They also feature a 2mm lip around the screen and camera, for ultimate protection. Many also offer MagSafe protection.
The company was created by two friends who grew up in a small town in northeast England, and saw first-hand the effect of plastic pollution. Everything is sent in sustainable packaging.
Suffice to say that whatever your Samsung Phone, there is as case for you. This company keeps up-to-date with all the latest upgrades, so there is always a sustainable phone case to match.
Wheat straw means each case has unique flecks. The texture is smooth but grippy (so it will slide in and out of a pocket, but not out of your hands – unlike silicone phone cases).
Note lighter colours are prone to picking up dye from denim. So choose darker colours, if preferred.
And if you do upgrade your phone, you can return the case for a discount on the new one. The old case will then be either recycled into new cases, or industrially composted.
Recycled Glass iPhone Screen Protector
You can also buy an iPhone Recycled Glass Screen Protector. This is drop-tested to 1.5 metres, and compatible with all types of phones (just choose at checkout).
To protect in transit, some of the packaging is not biodegradable, but is easy to recycle (soft plastics can be recycled at supermarket bag bins).
