A Fun Book on Forgotten Stories of Jesus

Wow! I Didn’t Know That! is a book to make learning about the stories of Jesus fun and interesting. Once you get to know them, they are indeed fascinating. But some scholars make these stories all musty-dusty, and that’s a shame, because then people miss out on them!

English translations of Scripture don’t always give the complete picture of the historical and cultural reality of these stories. This book dives deeper, to shine a light on common misconceptions and reveal the likely facts to understand how we view them.

Each story starts with beautiful art. Then you learn of the main characters, and a key takeaway Scripture to read and learn from. Here are a couple of examples:

Jesus’ Call for Repentance: Meet the main characters of John the Baptist, Jesus (obviously) and Isaiah the prophet. You’ll learn about the key places and lessons.

About the Authors

Professor Craig A Evans is a New Testament scholar, writer and popular teacher, who has written books and over 700 academic publications, and also consulted for National Geographical Society. He is mostly known for his work on the Gospels, historical Jesus, the Dead Sea Scrolls and archaeology of the New Testament.

Ginny Evans (his wife) holds degrees in home economics and library science, and has actively supported her husband’s ministry for over 50 years. As an amateur genealogist, she written widely on family history. After living for 35 years in Canada, they now live in Texas, USA.
