A pack of plastic-free ballpoint writing pens (easy to recycle)

This set of plastic-free ballpoint pens is a unique idea. Made from recycled kraft paper with a stainless steel ink core, these are sold in 4 lovely designs, in sets of 10 or 24. The 1mm tip makes them easy to write with (black ink).
At end of life, you simply soak the pen in hot water for 3 minutes, and unwrap the paper from the stainless steel core. Once both parts are separated, you just recycle them.
Keep pens (choking hazards) away from children and pets, and never litter them, as they go down storm drains and into the sea.
Most plantable pencils use seeds from abroad (not native species) and many flowers, herbs and onions are toxic to pets. Only use if made with native seeds, for pet-free homes/gardens.

Where to recycle plastic pens and pencils
Terracycle offers a free writing instruments recycling programme, sponsored by industry. Just order a box for your office, school or community then everyone can deposit unwanted pens, pencils, highlighters, correction fluids, felt-tips pens and erasers.
You can download a poster to display near the recycling box, and all items are sent off to be made into other things (like park benches).
