Hello, and a warm and friendly welcome to this beautiful little website!
After consultation with a wonderful planet-friendly one-woman SEO expert, she suggested making all posts draft to republish into a more niche, long-form site, so search engines know what the site is about, and will index the posts quicker.
A lot of info has changed since the site began, along with national and world events. So excuse the mess while all posts have been made draft, to republish to follow ‘google rules’ and have evergreen URLs (post titles) that house posts that are hopefully interesting and helpful!
This is quite a job (for instance, all Blackwell’s book links are now transitioning to Bookshop, due to the former having been bought up by a Trump-supporting corporate giant). But to leave all posts as draft until the site completes means the site would be down for too long, when it contains so much good info!
Once the site is complete in a few weeks, new posts will only be published now and then (to keep google happy with ‘fresh content’), and other posts will updated when needed.
With a move in a few weeks to a more restful slower lifestyle, this means most time can then be offline, in order to heal and rest (in line with the ethos of the site).
