Terra Organica: Vegan Organic Wines (by the case!)

Terra Organica was founded by former leading buyers for major supermarkets, who decided to bring their knowledge to sourcing vegan organic wines from across the world to your doorstep. Usually from independent and family-run wineries in Europe.
As of course it’s good to have ‘low wine miles’, these wines tend to be from Italy (rather than the USA or Australia), so you are supporting local family vineyards over the border. Wholesale orders are welcome, for shops, off licenses, restaurants and hotels.
You can also buy pre-mixed cases or build your own case. Isn’t it great to finally find somewhere that you can buy all your wines of every ilk, knowing that all of the mare both vegan and organic? If they can do this, why can’t all the others?
Glass bottles are easily recycled at kerbside or bottle banks. Recycle corks at off licenses or send in bulk to Recorked.
And here’s a bit of knowledge we didn’t know. Although it’s best to drink opened bottles of red and white wine within 48 hours, apparently if kept in the fridge, white wine can be kept for up to a month!

Try this red Rioja Crianza wine sold in cases of 3 or 6 bottles, ideal to accompany a Sunday vegan roast dinner or a homemade moussaka. Spain’s best-known wine is made near the Pyrenees region, on the border with France.
Sparkling organic vegan Prosecco
Terra Organica Sparkling Prosecco is not just organic but also vegan-friendly. Available to buy online (free delivery on six bottle cases) by the case for weddings and other celebrations, or you can also buy it in major supermarkets including Sainsbury’s and Ocado.
This wine features fresh green apple and pear aromas, with hints of white blossom and lily.
If sealed properly, this prosecco will last in the fridge for up to 48 hours. Aim for around six glasses per bottle. Prosecco comes from the Venetian region of Italy, and has now overtaken champagne in popularity, for celebration bubbly.
You can also buy an organic sparkling rosé with notes of citrus fruits and red berries, ideal to serve alongside fresh organic strawberries.
Why choose organic vegan wines?
For a start, these are not filtered using bone char or fish bladder, so vegans and vegetarians can also enjoy them, without everyone having to drink wines from different bottles.
Organic wines are also better for the planet and wildlife, and also less likely to give you a hangover the next morning! These wines let nature do the job (pollinators and biodiversity with sheep helping to keep weeds under control), with no weed killers or synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. And the wines taste better too!
Grapes are harvested by hand at peak ripeness, and all that sun-drenched flavour goes straight into your glass. The job is a hard one, but this is an industry that respects people who use age-old traditions to grow proper grapes in proper vineyards, for proper wine!
Other organic vegan sparkling wines
Vintage Roots offers English organic wines that are vegan-friendly too. Including from Davenport Vineyards (on the Sussex/Kent border). As does The English Vine.
No-alcohol organic sparkling wines
Noughty is one of the few brands in England that offers a no-alcohol sparkling wine, that is also organic. Made from Chardonnay grapes, it has half the sugar of most brands, and is just 14 calories per glass. Ideal for a hangover-free celebration.
Chardonnay is the world’s most popular wine, this one features a crisp and ripe apple nose, balanced with a touch of sweetness and just the right acidity.
