Wellicious (circular biodegradable yoga and activewear)

Wellicious is a German fashion brand (with fast affordable shipping to the UK) that is one of the first to do what many other brands don’t. Nearly all yoga and active wear brands that promote themselves as ‘eco-friendly’ include either elastane (a non-biodegradable plastic) or use materials made from recycled plastic bottles.

Neither are eco-friendly because this means when laundered, they release microplastics from washing machines that go out to the sea.

Elastane is used as it gives stretch (same for socks and undies). So this brand still uses an elastane – but a new-technology biodegradable version, so there are no microplastics.

Not is the range eco-friendly, but you can also order a small repair kit if you need to mend any item of clothing, rather than buying new. You can also send back items you no longer want or use, and get 15% off new items.
