Inspired by the Australian Bower Bird

This brand is named after the bower bird, created by two friends, who wanted to do something to help reduce the 90% of plastic that is never recycled.
Before plastic pollution, bower birds would collect blue feathers, berries and flowers, to impress a mate and feather their nests. But today they collect blue ballpoint pens, crockery, clothing, paper, pegs and even blue bottle tops.
Just like we should always boycott (and cut up) those plastic rings around beer cans to safely dispose, in Australia people are asked to cut up anything blue (like milk bottle tops) to avoid bowerbirds getting them trapped around their heads and beaks.
I’ve seen every single one of Australia’s bowerbirds in remote parts, from across the top of Northern Australia, Western Australia and over into New South Wales. And I haven’t seen a bower that doesn’t have rubbish in it of some description. Tim Faulkner, Aussie conservationist
