Exfoliate with ease: the benefits of Kleen Soap on a Rope

Kleen exfoliating soap (handmade in Kent) is vegan with no palm oil, and sold in zero waste packaging. It also has an integrated rope, to hang in the shower. So no need for a slatted soap dish.
Avoid shea butter for allergies (choose unscented for pregnancy/nursing). Wash off skincare with cocoa butter or zinc oxide (in sunscreens, deodorants, cosmetics) before letting pets kiss you!
If your kerbside doesn’t recycle, recycle beauty packaging (including pipettes) at Boots or Superdrug stores.
As we age, our skin cells turn over less and less, and all dermatologists say that regular exfoliation is a good idea. In most cases, more important than moisturiser. This can be done in two ways:
Physical exfoliation can be as simple as using a facecloth or loofah (on your body). Or it can include made products like scrubs made with exfoliating ingredients from oats to coffee grains.
Chemical exfoliation is a bit more advanced. It likely has better results, but you have to be careful as some brands use a lot of chemicals. You’ll likely see these listed as AHA or retinol creams.
The benefits of exfoliating bars
One of the biggest advantages of soap on a rope is its practicality. Instead of leaving a traditional bar sitting in a soap dish where it can become wet and slippery, the soap can be hung up after use. This allows it to dry between washes and helps keep the shower or bath area tidier. It can also make the soap easier to find and handle, particularly when your hands are wet.
The exfoliating element adds another dimension to the experience. Exfoliation helps remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, leaving it feeling smoother and refreshed. Used gently, an exfoliating soap can turn an ordinary shower into a more enjoyable self-care ritual.
Kleen’s soap-on-a-rope format is also appealing because it reduces some of the frustrations associated with conventional soap bars. There is no need to pick up a bar from a puddle of water or deal with a slippery piece of soap sliding around the bathroom. Simply use the soap and hang it back up when you are finished!
