Cottsbury luxury organic cotton bedding sets

Cottsbury organic cotton bedding

Cottsbury also make nice organic cotton bedding sets. You can buy separate items or complete sets including duvet covers, pillow cases and fitted sheets.

The set above is made from 300 thread count sateen weave, in an undyed natural shade. The duvet is fastened with concealed coconut shell buttons. Made in a Fair trade factory in India, and packaged in  a reusable organic  cotton bag from surplus fabric.

The collections includes smooth 300 thread count sateen bedding, soft jersey styles and a choice of plain, embroidered, banded and patterned designs. Use the filters to compare bedding by colour, size, style, certification.

Organic bedding is free from fire-retardant chemicals, so (as with everyone): avoid smoking, candles, overloading plugs (don’t leave phones or laptops on beds) and avoid convector heaters.

Safe sleeping for babies

  • Never use cot bumpers, and avoid pillows (some say up to age two).
  • Lullaby Trust has info on sleeping for babies (avoid overheating with clothes, hats or blankets etc – read more on safe nurseries).
  • One lightweight blanket doubled over counts as two (this could increase overheating). Air trapped between layers increases warmth.
  • The trust recommends indoor temperatures between 16°C and 20°C. Check a baby’s temperature on the chest or back.

Also makes organic cotton towel bales

This brand also makes lovely soft organic cotton towel bales, alongside casual organic cotton clothing like t-shirts and sweatshirts.

If rescuing wildlife, always use towels without tassels, to avoid them trapping on paws and claws.
