Avoid essential oils for pregnancy/nursing. Avoid dental care sweetened with xylitol (lethal to pets – if you chew gum which often contains it, use a gum drop bin to avoid littering). Do not compost floss, as it would tangle (essential oils can harm compost creatures).

Communities can also order a one-off box from Terracycle, to recycle all dental waste (toothbrushes and heads, floss containers, interdental brushes, plastic toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes). When full, just send off in the prepaid envelope to be recycled into industrial items.
