All alcohol-free drinks contain a little booze (0.5%). So it’s recommended still to avoid for pregnancy/nursing. Recycle corks in bulk at Recorked

What is Wilfred’s Aperitif?

Wilfred’s is a non-alcoholic aperitif designed to deliver the complex, botanical character you would expect from a traditional aperitif. Its combination of bitter, citrusy and herbal flavours makes it particularly well suited to long drinks and spritz-style cocktails.

It’s also a great option if you’re searching for a no-alcohol Aperol alternative. While it isn’t intended to be an exact replica of Aperol, Wilfred’s offers a similar role in your drinks cabinet: something vibrant and flavourful that can be paired with a sparkling mixer to create an easy, refreshing serve.

This ‘sunshine in a glass’ blends natural botanicals with bitter orange, aromatic rosemary, clove and a hint of rhubarb.

It also contains flavours inspired by the founder’s mother’s freshly-picked rosemary and his father’s homemade marmalade (bitter orange). Just 21 calories per serving.

How to enjoy Wilfred’s Aperitif

One of the simplest ways to enjoy Wilfred’s is as a spritz. Pour it over plenty of ice, add your favourite sparkling mixer and finish with a slice of orange or another citrus garnish.

The result is a bright, refreshing drink that works beautifully as an aperitif before dinner or as a relaxed drink on a warm afternoon.

You can also experiment with different mixers and garnishes. Try sparkling water for a lighter serve, or add fresh herbs and citrus for extra aroma and flavour. If you enjoy making cocktails, Wilfred’s can also be used as a base for more creative non-alcoholic drinks.

Who created Wilfred’s aperitif?

Wilfred’s inventive mind goes back to childhood (he built a pick-up device from wood, to avoid having to pick up ping-pong balls himself!) After graduating in mechanical engineering, he then designed an artificial heart valve.

His travels took him from France to Argentina to Japan.  And after creating drinks inspired by various places, he combined the recipes with his experience in engineering and business to launch the drink, which won a major award just three months after launch.
