Salt of the Earth (one ingredient alum deodorant)

Salt of the Earth (Hampshire) is a one-ingredient natural deodorant, made in a factory run on clean energy, that so far has saved over 500,000 plastic bottles from landfill.

This natural crystal deodorant only contains potassium alum (not aluminium) and nothing else. Just apply to damp skin after washing, and dry after use. May mark some household surfaces, marble and natural stone.

The natural deodorant is sold with refills (we only recommend the unscented version, as the scented versions contain fragrance oil). Made with moisturising shea butter and coconut oil, just buy cardboard refills thereafter.

Choose unscented deodorants for pregnancy/nursing and affected medical conditions. Avoid shea butter for latex allergies. 

Natural deodorants are free from artificial fragrance and aluminium (not the same as natural alum which is okay) and sold in zero waste packaging, free from animal ingredients.

To prevent body odour, take a daily shower and wear loose breathable fabrics like cotton, linen or hemp. Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins and eat a balanced diet (go easy on foods that trigger body odour like spicy meals, garlic and onion).
