Recycled Paper Bathroom Tissue (that builds toilets!)

Who Gives a Crap? is a quirky brand that offers colourful packs of recycled paper loo roll (or more luxurious bamboo, if you prefer). Sold in ‘double-length’ packs of comfy 3-ply rolls of 24 or 48 rolls, shipping is free for orders over £20.

This company donates 50% of profits to charities abroad, that provide clean sanitation and toilets for people who have no access to them at present (that’s millions of people, who as a result can die from disease).

We are a toilet company that help build toilets. Who Gives a Crap?

Why the Silly Name?

Because the company has Aussie roots, where the word ‘crap’ is not as rude as it is here! The company was co-founded by a man, who decided he was going to create a tree-free toilet roll brand that helped bring clean sanitation to developing countries.

He offered up his idea for crowdfunding, and legend has that he sat on the loo until he received all the money. Fortunately it only took some hours, and the company now sells worldwide.

Get the box of 48 rolls just under once a year for our house (mostly me and my husband, I work from home). It’s not as luxurious as 4-ply quilted puppy dog brand loo roll, but it’s absolutely fine and not at all rough.

It’s better for the planet, and our toddlers enjoy playing in the big box, once it’s empty.

Why Choose Eco Bathroom Tissue?

Each year, around 1 million trees are chopped down daily (mostly in Boreal forests that are home to moose, elk, wolves and grizzly bears), just to make toilet paper that is then wrapped in plastic. Just imagine the effect if everyone switched to recycled paper, sugar cane or bamboo rolls instead?

2-ply is the best choice to avoid clogs with sensitive plumbing systems, but still gives better comfort than 1-ply. It’s best to subscribe online with eco-brands (most brands are measured cost-per-roll instead of sheet). So although our recommended brands seem more expensive, they aren’t, as you get way more sheets per roll!

Order 24 rolls for ‘1 to 2 bums’ in your household, or 48 rolls for families and bulk orders neighbours, friends, offices etc.
