Refillable haircare: why choose Miniml shampoos?
Miniml is a wonderful haircare brand of shampoos (and optional conditioners) made with natural ingredients (including Yorkshire water!) in refillable bottles.
Choose unscented haircare for pregnancy/nursing. Avoid shea butter for allergies. Avoid human soap/shampoo on pets due to different PH (read more on giving dogs baths).
How does the refill system work?
Once your bottle is empty, you can order bulk refill bottles, to decant into. You can also find these refill bottles at many zero waste stores.
To refill online, send back your empty refill bottles (you get a QR code to print off and drop off at EVRI stores). The bottles are cleaned and sanitised using green-powered energy and filtered water, then replaced with fresh product, and sent back to you.
This shampoo is sold in four fragrances:
- Tea tree and mint (oily hair) is a clarifying shampoo that is ideal for remove product build-up and dead skin cells (like dandruff). And also helps to control excess oil production.
- Uplifting Pink Grapefruit (all hair types) is a mild cleansing shampoo for all hair types, especially sensitive scalps and curly hair.
- Hydrating coconut (dry hair) is ideal for dry and dehydrated hair.
- Lavender & Chamomile (damaged hair) is ideal for split ends, or as an everyday shampoo with a calming scent.
Rethinking the shampoo bottle
Traditional liquid haircare usually comes in a new plastic bottle every time you buy it. Even when bottles are recyclable, recycling still requires energy and resources, and not every piece of packaging is successfully recycled.
Refillable products provide another option. Instead of replacing the container each time, you keep the bottle and simply replenish the product inside.
