dash water

So you’ve got your reusable water bottle and you’re all set to ‘drink filtered tap water’. But what happens if you prefer sparkling water? Unless you have a soda syphon, you’ll have to buy fizzy water. So which are the best brands on sale?

Never give fizzy water to pets, as it could cause bloat.

DASH Water is sold in most stores. Made with sparkling water and wonky fruit (rejected by the food industry), it’s sold in cans in various flavours:

  • Cucumber
  • Blackcurrant
  • Peach
  • Raspberry
  • Lemon
  • Lime
  • Grapefruit

You can buy multi-packs online and there are good discounts for referrals, students and key workers. This company is determined to help reduce the 40% or so of wasted food ‘one bashed up berry, curly cucumber and lopsided lemon at a time’. After all, it all tastes the same! Sold in easy-to-recycle aluminium cans or glass bottles.

sparkling waters to help clean water projects

One Water also sells sparkling water in cans or (partially-recycled) glass bottles. The difference with this company is that profits fund clean water projects around the world, in areas that need it most. So far The One Foundation has raised over £20 million, changing the lives of over 4 million people.

This company began after the founder came across a girl in Kenya, photographed next to a tap with a padlock attached. When he learned that almost 800 million people worldwide have no access to clean water, he decided to act. Especially as over 3 million people die yearly from waterborne diseases (mostly children under 5). Lack of clean safe water also traps families in poverty, as they can sometimes spend up to 4 hours daily collecting water (rather than attending school or work).

Belu offers water filters for pubs, restaurants and hotels, and also offers sparkling water in (minimum 40% recycled) glass bottles of various sizes. Again, profits are diverted to help clean safe water charity projects worldwide.
