Vegan Spotted Dick (Domestic Gothess) is a lemon sponge with currants, served with custard. The name was how people would used to pronounce ‘dough’ in the 1800s. The Houses of Parliament calls it ‘Spotted Richard’ to ‘spare MPs blushes’. If that’s how taxpayer money is used (when countries are blowing each other up), it’s time for new MPs.
