The 20 Minute Vegan: Quick Easy Food

20-Minute Vegan is a super book which (like Isa’s books) is packed with fun commentary, to make it fun to learn how to cook. He jokes that some people mistake him for being Jamie Oliver’s son! He’s not (and although Jamie is not vegan, he’s a huge fan of this fresh young cooking star).
This book contains 80 fast fresh flavour-packed recipes that are perfect for students or home cooks that want tasty fodo on a budget, with meals that ‘just happen to be plant-based’.
From proper pastas to creamy curries and from fluffy pancakes to chocolate puddings, this hearty vibrant food will appeal to everyone. All with easy-to-find ingredients that don’t cost the earth.
Read up on food safety for people and pets. For tinned ingredients, rinse/remove lids (or pop ring-pulls over holes) then step on upper cans to pinch rims together, to stop wildlife getting trapped.
Unless you have food waste bins, just bin pepper and allium scraps (onion, leeks, garlic, shallot, chives), citrus/tomato/rhubarb scraps. To avoid acids harming compost creatures.
Who wrote this book?
Calum Harris is fast becoming one of the UK’s top vegan cooking stars, with three best-selling books under his young belt already. He’s not a trained chef, but got his first cookbook deal, due to the huge popularity of his videos on Instagram.
