About the Author

Isa Chandra Moskowitz grew up in New York City, and learned to cook, while volunteering for Food Not Bombs, which serves up free food to local people, from donated leftovers in shops and restaurants. This led to a cable TV show from her tiny kitchen, which led to a cookbook deal.

The cookbook went viral, leading to many more publications. Today Isa remains a best-selling author, and has used proceeds to fund the opening of a Brooklyn vegan catering company
