5-Ingredient Vegan Breakfast Waffle Recipe

These breakfast waffles (The Simple Veganista) make a lovely breakfast, especially when served with fresh fruits, maple syrup and vegan cream or ice-cream. What a treat!

Of course, to make waffles, you normally would need a waffle iron. The ‘green ones’ are free from Teflon, but to be honest, most are £200 and most people won’t buy one. Waffle and pancake batters are different, so the recipe won’t work in a pan. The simplest solution is just to use the batter on a griddle pan instead. The texture will vary, but the recipe will still be tasty.
All you need to make these waffles are flour, oil, sugar, baking powder and plant milk. Add a little real vanilla too, if you can’t find vanilla plant milk.
