Gibsons organic liqueurs (handmade in the Cotswolds)

Gibson’s organic liqueurs are made from fruit grown on an organic farm in the Cotswolds. So don’t be surprised that at times, they may run out of flavours. The beauty of proper artisan drinks!
After volunteering on organic farms, the founder returned home and began to plant fruit and made liqueurs that began winning awards. The land is farmed sustainably, and rather than take government grants for intensive farming, a wildflower meadow has been planted alongside a 4-acre woodland, so local birds and wildlife can thrive.
Rinse then recycle bottles (caps can be left on, machines separate them). Recycle corks in bulk at Recorked.
Corks are too dense to compost, so send off in bulk to Recorked for recycling.
The range includes:
Blackcurrant is the award-winner! Made from a variety of blackcurrants (including a ‘mystery’ variety from cuttings), this is lovely with a vegan cheeseboard or add to sparkling wine for a Cotswold Kir.
Or add one measure to the juice of a lemon, crushed ice, dry gin and sugar syrup for a Cotswold Bramble.
Or drizzle over vegan ice cream, or even in a boozy crumble!
Redcurrant liqueur is a lovely local alternative to Negroni and less bitter than Campari. Nice with vegan ice-cream or soaked into a summer pudding.
Whitecurrant liqueur is a rare drink, these are smaller and sweeter than red or blackcurrants.
Sloe gin from blackthorn bushes (related to plums) soaks sthe sloes in organic gin, and sweetens with organic sugar. Blended with a hint of blackcurrrant liqueur. Nice with sparkling wine, or as an alternative to brandy in cooking.
Elderflower liqueur is from a hedgerow plant (and from cultivated elders that act as field windbreaks). These floral blossoms are enhanced with greenhouse lemons. Nice with sparkling wine for a summer cocktail, or chilled as an alternative to dessert. Or even drizzle over lemon sorbet.
Fig leaf liqueur indeed comes from a fig tree in the Cotswolds. Which alas was not very good at growing fruit! So instead the fragrant leaves are used. Nice in cocktails, as a dessert wine or with sparkling wine.
Sloe Gold rum soaks local sloes in organic golden rum with a little sugar. With a little bit of organic blackccurant liqueur. Nice with ginger beer.
Organic crab apple liqueur is from the local orchard. Not as sweet as dessert apples (but sweeter than cooking apples), these taste like apples blended with roses, and adds a little organic star anise. Nice chilled with vegan cheese.
