Lovely Little Gifts to Help Farm Sanctuaries!

Surge Sanctuary mugs

Farm sanctuaries take care of abused and neglected animals, often rescued from abattoirs (sometimes even illegal abattoirs).

Run on shoestring budgets, a great way to help is to buy little gifts for items you would buy anyway (t-shirts, mugs etc).

Here are a few ideas:

Surge Sanctuary offers lovely mugs with images of their residents (if buying the mushroom growing kit, know that mushrooms are toxic to pets and barnyard friends, so keep them well away).

Another way to help this sanctuary if you live in or are visiting London, is to pop into Unity Diner, to enjoy a vegan burger, as profits help fund this sanctuary (founded by well-known animal welfare campaigner Earthling Ed).

Baah-land tote

Baah-land is a wonderful sanctuary in Worcestershire, run by a devoted couple on a shoestring budget. You can help by purchasing organic cotton t-shirts or a large shopping tote for your vegan groceries!

The Retreat Animal Rescue has a page where you can buy a sack of carrots, a bale of hay or some veterinary ointment, to help their happy residents.

Fiona Oakes vegan running shoes

Tower Hill Stables is run by an amazing volunteer fire-fighter. You can buy various organic t-shirts and also a pair of vegan running shoes (designed by the founder who runs marathons in her spare time!)

goodheart animal sanctuaries print

Good Heart Animal Sanctuaries offers nice art prints, to benefit the wonderful work they do. We like this ‘cuts of kindness’ print!
