vegan Ferrero Rocher

This is one of a series of posts, on how to make your own (vegan) homemade versions of popular chocolate bars. Not only is this good for animals (no dairy or palm oil) but good for your health (no refined sugar) and good for the planet (no plastic sweet wrappers!) Ferrero Rocher is a case in point, as the company has been rapped on the knuckles for over-packaging (each chocolate is wrapped individually, then wrapped again in plastic). And despite the posh image (‘you are spoiling us, Ambassador!), in fact the ingredients are nothing to write home about – the same mix of refined sugar, skim milk powder, palm oil, more refined sugar, salt – and a few hazelnuts).

These vegan Ferrero Rocher chocolates (Ela Vegan) are super-simple to make, to replicate a popular chocolate snack. The brand is over-packaged (each chocolate wrapped, then wrapped again in plastic). And the ingredients (‘you spoil us, Ambassador’) are a cheap mix of dairy, refined sugar and palm oil.

Avoid nuts (and fudge) for young children and people with swallowing difficulties. Read more on keeping people & pets safe in the kitchen (many foods including chocolate and nuts are unsafe around animal friends).

vegan fudge (that tastes like Ferrero Rocher)

vegan chocolate hazelnut fudge

This vegan fudge (Rainbow Plant Life) is very simple to make, and blends the same flavours. ONly 5 ingredients, this is very rich and creamy.

vegan ferrero rocher addicted to dates

Vegan Ferrero Rocher (Addicted to Dates) is a simple recipe by a classically-trained Irish baker. Made with coconut milk (Biona is a good brand) and hazelnut butter, it’s sweetened with maple syrup.

no-bake vegan Nutella cake

no-bake nutella cake

No-bake Nutella Cake (Rainbow Plant Life) is very easy to make in a food processor. Nutella is a blend of rubbish ingredients too (but with the same chocolate hazelnut flavours as Ferrero Rocher). This has way more nuts and chocolate!
