Jungle Culture recycled wood cutlery sets are handmade in Vietnam by skilled artisans. Each portable set includes a serrated knife, sturdy fork, tablespoon and straw, plus a coconut fibre straw cleaning brush.

The entire set is made from wood offcuts from a local furniture maker, sold in an organic cotton bag (hand-sewn by local seamstresses). Do not place wooden utensils in the dishwasher. Instead hand-wash with warm soapy water and dry immediately.

Why choose reusable cutlery sets?

Single-use plastic cutlery is now banned for sale in England, but still sold elsewhere (and many people still use old sets).

But if littered, they fall down storm drains and serrated knife edges and fork prongs harm soft-bellied marine creatures.

Where to recycle existing plastic cutlery

If your council does not recycle old plastic cutlery, your community can purchase a one-off box from Terracycle. Place it at a local hub, then people can deposit old plastic cutlery (along with plastic straws, flowers, ribbons, bows, party hats, costume marks, tinsel, sweet wrappers and old balloons).

The box is then sent off when full using the pre-paid label, and recycled into industrial items.
