Pentire Margarita (a Cornish-made tequila drink)

Pentire Margarita

Pentire Margarita is a Cornish-made (no-alcohol) version of tequila, the popular drink from Mexico. This blends coastal botanicals with lime, sea salt and a dash of Mexican chilli for a ready-to-drink beverage.

It’s sweetened with agave syrup, a honey-like alternative from a plant related to cactus (so check first if you have diabetes).

Although most tequila does not have a ‘worm in the bottle’, its cousin mezcal may have. So why not just go local, and choose this version instead?

All alcohol-free drinks contain a little booze (0.5%). So it’s recommended still to avoid for pregnancy/nursing.

Before recycling cans, rinse then pop ring-pulls over holes. Then step on cans to pinch rims together, to stop wildlife getting trapped.

How to serve Pentire Margarita

Sold in 200ml ready-drink cans. Alternatively:

  • Pour 100ml into a rocks glass over ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of chilli.
