Vela Eco (paper alternative to plastic polybags)

Vela is the zero waste alternative to plastic polybags, which are used so much in industry, that around 100 billion end up being thrown away each year worldwide. Often ending up in our oceans.

Responsibly-sourced and easy to recycle, these are ideal for packaging anything in offices to shops, especially clothing (say socks, pants, shirts etc).

Expect a shelf life of around a year, after purchase. There are versions designed for easy scanning in shops, if necessary. They can also be resealed up to five times, while maintaining the same strength.

The bags are made and distributed worldwide. Sadly not yet in the UK, but you can order from their suppliers in Germany or Italy (where the brand is based). Non troppo lontano (not too far away!)

What shapes and sizes does Vela come in?

It’s sold in three versions:

Sleeves (ideal for ties, the sleeves can be as a continuous tube or perforated, depending on how many ties you are selling!)
Bags (ideal for clothing like shirts)
Covers (ideal for dresses or dry-cleaners)

These can add QR codes and be branded.
