Inspiration from abroad (disposable straws made from hay!)

Hay Straws (US) are an idea from over the pond. Although single-use plastic straws are now banned for sale in England, millions of people still use leftover ones, and they are still legal to sell worldwide.

Sometimes (for medical conditions or for events), single-use straws are still used. And the usual material of choice is paper. But they can go soggy.

These straws are sold for industry ins cases of 1500 to 12,000. And don’t go soggy in drinks! Avoid for allergies to hay or grass.

Ths brand uses profits to adopt a turtle each month at Sea Turtle Conservancy, to keep these beautiful creatures in the wild!

Don’t give straws to babies (choking hazards). Open cups also let babies develop facial muscles for speech/eating. Avoid metal straws for children, dexterity issues or if on the move (as they don’t bend).
