The Sustainable Watch Co (made from recycled woods)

The Sycamore Vegan Watch is from a wonderful company that makes vegan wristwatches (and straps for Apple Watches) out of recycled furniture and even railway tracks! Each one has a unique grain pattern and colour tone. Sent in zero waste packaging, a tree is planted for each watch sold.
This watch showcases browns of olive wood with a bright grey face, and subtle exposed mechanics on the face, and a glass back, with contrasting reinforced black links on the strap.
This watch has mechanical movement with the hands sweeping gracefully around the watch face. Uses no batteries! Movement automatically winds the watch, which will stop after 38 to 40 hours in a static state. To fully re-wind, just turn the 360 degrees (20 times).

The Rosewood Vegan Watch (made from recycled wood) has exposed gold mechanics and a rich olive wood body, with a glass back and wood band. There are gold links through for added durability.
Why choose a sustainable vegan watch?
For people who wear a wristwatch, choose innovative materials like vegan leathers and recycled materials. Rather than leather (often made in countries with poor animal welfare laws) or plastic (which supports the oil industry, and causes pollution).
As a new watch is quite expensive, take time to choose one that suits your lifestyle, and make use of end-of-lines and bargain sales. Usually smaller watches suit petite frames, choose neutral colours (black or brown) to hide marks and match most outfits.
To make your watch last longer, regularly clean the head and strap with mild soapy warm water and a soft brush, and dry thoroughly. Store in the box it’s sold in, to prevent scratches. And remove when bathing, swimming or in saunas.
Recycle watch batteries (choking hazards) at jewellery shops. Send broken watches and straps (along with odd earrings, broken jewellery and any-currency bank notes) freepost to Animal Free Research UK (to raise funds for humane research). Or War Paws (to help animals in war zones).
