Upcycled cake tin dangly earrings

upcycled cake tin earrings

These pretty dangly earrings are quite unique, in that they are made from an old flowery cake tin! Mounted on 925 sterling silver hooks, due to the upcycling, no two designs are the same!

Sent in a pretty handmade gift envelope, again unique depending on what the designer finds to use up! The earrings are not ‘damaged’ but may contain little imperfections, all part of the charm of recycled treasures!

You can send single earrings, broken chains and unwanted watches or bank notes freepost to Animal Free Research UK or War Paws (the metal is sold to raise funds).

Vintage cake and biscuit tins (upcycling heaven!)

Back in the days before plastic Tupperware, most women kept homemade cakes and biscuits in tins to keep the fresh. And the tins were art forms in themselves.

They were often decorated in lavish designs, especially with flowers. Some were even decorated with coats of arms, to present to Queen Victoria.

Old tins are a wonderful source of upcycling material for jewellery makers, and you’ll find many use old biscuit and cake tins, to produce beautiful earrings.
