Free WordPress Themes (ideal for non-profits)

Although it’s nice to invest in a pretty affordable WordPress theme, many small businesses (and especially non-profits) want to save every penny for their important work. But some small charities don’t get as many donations as they should, either because they don’t have a website (not everyone is on Facebook) or their website is ugly and uninspiring, and difficult to navigate to donation pages.
These themes make it easy to run a budget-friendly website or blog (find tips to get traffic) without spending a fortune on custom designs. So this way you can update information yourself, at any time.
Hosted WordPress is a good choice

If you run a business, you usually have to use self-hosted WordPress and pay for hosting. But if you run a non-profit, you can use hosted WordPress which is totally free (you can attach a domain name or even use the basic one like ‘yourcharity.wordpress.com and it won’t cost you anything).
This Masu theme is free (so if you already own a domain name and transfer over to hosted WordPress, a site like this will literally cost you nothing to design or maintain, apart from renewing your domain name each year, if you have one.
The basic themes are actually quite nice anyway. Below are some nice free theme options, if you wish to upgrade to good frameworks like Kadence. You can add on the free donations block to accept credit/debit card payments and get paid by Stripe.
Free themes for self-hosted WordPress

If you have a self-hosted WordPress account (or wish to use one), Anders Noren is a web developer who offers a series of simple themes for free (you can buy him a virtual coffee if you wish!)
