An organic cotton Turkish waffle blanket

This organic cotton waffle blanket is from Turkey, home to some of the finest organic cotton. Produced by a small family business, it’s available in several sizes and colour choices.

Thoughtfully designed with a textured waffle cotton surface on top and layers of soft muslin underneath, this is warm without being too heavy.

Organic bedding is free from fire-retardant chemicals, so it’s important (as with everyone) to follow common sense tips to keep safe. Avoid smoking, candles, overloading plugs (don’t leave phones or laptops on beds) and choose oil radiators over convector heaters.

Safe sleeping for babies

One blanket doubled over counts as two (this could increase overheating, so ensure they are lightweight). Air trapped between layers increases warmth.

The trust recommends indoor temperatures between 16°C and 20°C. Check a baby’s temperature on the chest or back.
